"Salish Star"
The City of Bellingham, Washington operates a 2015 Moose Boats M2-38
catamaran fireboat. Named the "Salish Star" the boat is capable of about
3,000 gpm. It is powered by twin 425 HP diesels and jet drives.
38' 10" LOA - 13' 6" Beam - 24" draft
Cruising speed 28 knots - Max 35 knots
CBRNE capable and equipped with latest electronics.
Delivered by the Petaluma, CA Moose Boats in August 2015.
It replaced an older boat called the Fire Belle.
The boat is located in a working fishing harbor called Squalicum Harbor
operated by the Port of Bellingham on South Harbor Loop Drive.
